White label for resellers

In preview

Present the panel as your own product. A reseller's customers see the reseller's name, logo and colours on the reseller's own host name, and the product's name appears nowhere they look.

Built and lab-tested

  • A brand per owner: the administrator's default or one reseller's. Edit a draft, publish it, and any of the last 20 published versions can be restored.
  • Colours that stay readable: the accent colour you type is checked against the 4.5:1 contrast rule on the light theme, and the dark-theme colour is derived to meet it too. The panel adjusts it and tells you, or refuses.
  • Logo, favicon and sign-in background up to 2 MB. The type is decided by reading the bytes, and an SVG with a script, an embedded object or an outside reference is refused; the rest is rewritten from an allow-list.
  • A panel host name of your own: the panel gives you the record to create, checks it every minute, orders a certificate once it points at the panel and writes your brand into the page before it loads.
  • Sign-in on a branded host: people of other resellers get the same "wrong username or password" as a wrong password. Passkeys are made for that host name and work there only; sessions are tied to the host.
  • Private nameservers: the administrator approves a pool of names and addresses, a reseller picks from it, and accounts created later get them. Existing zones change only after a plan.
  • Email templates for welcome, password reset, suspension, quota warning and notifications, with variables checked at save, sanitised HTML and a mandatory plain-text part. A suspended site serves a page with the reseller's brand.
  • A browser test loads a branded host and fails when the product name appears in visible text, attributes, headers or served pages.
  • Edition: your own default brand (name, logo and accent colour) works in every edition. A reseller's brand, host name and templates need the white-label add-on; without it they are stored and the default is shown.

Not there yet

  • Quota-warning emails have no producer yet: the template exists, nothing sends it.
  • A passkey made on another host name does not appear on a branded one; the sign-in page says so.
  • Gateway and API keys scoped to a reseller.

Four steps for a reseller

Upload a logo and pick an accent colour, add the panel host name and create its DNS record, pick nameservers if you offer them, then publish. Customers see nothing until you publish.

Every action in this area is in the panel, one keystroke away in the command palette (Ctrl K), on the command line and in the API, and most changes can be previewed as a plan first. Built and tested in our lab; RespireCloud is not released yet.
