Cloud serversComing in 1.1

Create a server from the panel. It joins your cluster by itself.

Connect a cloud account once. Pick a region and a size, see the price per month and per hour, and press create. The new server installs the agent and appears in Cluster with its provider, region and cost.

Not available yet. This page shows what is being built, so you can plan around it.

Ten clouds, one way to use them

How it works

  1. Connect

Paste a token. The setup page names the exact token scope to create and links to the provider's own page, so the key can do no more than it needs.

  2. Pick

Choose the region, the size, with the provider's monthly and hourly price, and the image (Ubuntu or Debian LTS). Choose the roles the server will have.

  3. It joins

The server installs the RespireCloud agent from a pinned release, checks its checksum and enrols over mutual TLS with a one time token. No command to copy.

What you get

Safe by design

  • Keys sit in the panel's encrypted vault, are visible to administrators only, and never come back to the browser or reach the AI.
  • Destroying a server drains it first and asks you to type its name and confirm it is really you.
  • The panel never destroys a server it did not create, unless you adopt that server first.
  • A provider's API is plain HTTPS. The code that talks to it is small and read in the open by you in the docs.

Questions

Do I need a cloud account first?

Yes. You bring your own account at the provider and pay it directly. RespireCloud does not resell servers.

Can I use a provider that is not on the list?

Any OpenStack cloud works. For other providers, a custom provider can be described by hand or drafted with the AI. See Providers.

Is it available now?

No. Cloud is being built and is planned for 1.1. This page shows what it will do.
