Bring accounts over without guessing. An import shows what it will create before it does anything, and a commit can be rolled back in full.
Built and lab-tested
- Importers for cPanel and Plesk backups, run end to end in the lab: pre-flight check, dry run, commit and a full rollback. The lab archives were built by us to match each format; a backup from a production server has not been imported yet.
- An upload wizard: the archive uploads resumably, its checksum is shown, and it is removed afterwards. A decompression bomb is refused.
- Live transfer from another server over the network, lab-proven from a plain Linux server.
- The archive reader is hardened and fuzzed, because a backup from elsewhere is untrusted input.
Not there yet
- DirectAdmin, Hestia and FastPanel importers: parsing is tested, an end-to-end import is not proven yet.
- Live transfer from another control panel is tested against fixtures only.
Every action in this area is in the panel, one keystroke away in the command palette (Ctrl K), on the command line and in the API, and most changes can be previewed as a plan first. Built and tested in our lab; RespireCloud is not released yet.
